If you are single, looking for a new car and wondering what kind of vehicles chicks dig the most then you are not alone. You see, our legion of mind readers have been using ESP to probe the minds of single men for weeks, and one of the questions that keeps popping up (besides – “Can I still drink this milk if the Sell By date was 8 days ago?”) is – “What kind of awesome ride (sports car) would make me look really cool (more desirable as a potential mate) and thus attract really cute girls (draw visually desirable female humans toward me)?”
I know it’s a stereotype, but is it actually true that girls prefer men with cool flashy cars as opposed to say, a cargo van? Well, forget what I think – I’m just some dude with pizza stains on his couch and laundry I would rather throw away than clean. Let’s turn to the scientists who I’m sure did the research necessary to answer that very question.
According to MJ Dunn and R Searle of the School of Health Sciences, Centre for Psychology, University of Wales Institute in their report titled “Effect of manipulated prestige-car ownership on both sex attractiveness ratings.“, “Previous studies have shown that male attractiveness can be enhanced by manipulation of status through, for example, the medium of costume.
The present study experimentally manipulated status by seating the same target model (male and female matched for attractiveness) expressing identical facial expressions and posture in either a 'high status' (Silver Bentley Continental GT) or a 'neutral status' (Red Ford Fiesta ST) motor-car. A between-subjects design was used whereby the above photographic images were presented to male and female participants for attractiveness rating. Results showed that the male target model was rated as significantly more attractive on a rating scale of 1-10 when presented to female participants in the high compared to the neutral status context. Males were not influenced by status manipulation, as there was no significant difference between attractiveness ratings for the female seated in the high compared to the neutral condition. It would appear that despite a noticeable increase in female ownership of prestige/luxury cars over recent years males, unlike females remain oblivious to such cues in matters pertaining to opposite-sex attraction. These findings support the results of previous status enhancement of attractiveness studies especially those espousing sex differences in mate preferences are due to sex-specific adaptations."
Basically, the answer is a resounding "YES, Chicks prefer dudes with cool sports cars!"

According to a recent interview with approximately 1,000 women, around 300 of them (or 28%) chose BMW as their preferred car - and how can you deny the results of such a scientific study?? Women know what they want, and who are you to deny them this? As far as color goes, it's important of course to choose a color that women like. Hmm....what is a womans favorite color?? PINK!! Dude you should totally get a pink car! OK - just kidding. Women may like pink bedrooms and pink slippers, but they probably would tend to steer away from a guy with a pink BMW.
